Seattle sports media stars Mike Gastineau and Jim Moore
to co-host charity doggie fashion show

Already a dog event with something for every person and every dog, a new and fun menu item has been added to Woof By Woofwest, presented by the Seattle Kennel Club next Saturday and Sunday, March 9-10, at CenturyLink Field Event Center.
Woofin’, a celebrity dog fashion show and “not-so-stupid” pet tricks sponsored and hosted by Trupanion, will take place at the Event Center at 6pm, following Saturday’s Best In Show competition and other activities for entered dogs and un-entered “public dogs” (see www.woofbywoofwest.com for details).
The celebrity part of Woofin’ starts with the co-hosts of the event, legendary Seattle sports media personalities Mike Gastineau and Jim Moore.
Gastineau is a long time Seattle broadcaster, writer, and lover of all dogs. Moore co-hosts “Danny, Dave and Moore” on 710 ESPN Seattle and also hosts “Bark,” a podcast about dogs. “Gas” and Jim each have dogs and will be sharing their own dog stories along the way.
Among the celebrity models (with their dogs) confirmed for the show are legendary Seattle SuperSonic Slick Watts; Megan Beult, Miss World 2017; KJR’s Terry Holliman; Breanne Rice from ABC’s The Bachelor; and Anny Havland of KIND TV. More coming.
Cheryl Keninger of DownUnderDogDesigns is the canine couture designer, providing costumes for the participating dogs (they all get to keep their costumes).
Local celebrities as well as dog fans will walk the “runway” with their dogs in the Best In Show ring. Participants in the fashion show and “not-so-stupid” pet tricks are still being assembled, with more news about that to come next week. (Inquiries welcome, email to davidfrei44@gmail.com).
Proceeds from the event will go to benefit SKC’s three charities – Seattle Children’s Hospitals therapy dog program, Seattle Animal Shelter’s spay and neuter clinic, and the VA Puget Sound’s therapy dog and service dog programs.
